| This image was done with Crystal 3D software on an old (new then) 286 PC that had all of 4 mg RAM. It was not uncommon in those days to have to wait hours for the image to render, one line at a time, seemingly taking forever for the next line to pop on the screen. With all these objects, this one took a long time indeed to render. It was one of the first times the texture "glass" was used and when Ralph came back to the room to see the finished image, his first comment was "WOW!!". Hence, the name. |
